New Delhi -: Twelve Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs, including former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, have been suspended from the Assembly session for a day after a row broke out over the presentation of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) report on Delhi liquor policy.

As soon as the session began, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena addressed the House. AAP MLAs raised slogans against his speech and created a ruckus against the BJP government.
Speaker Vijender Gupta repeatedly appealed to the MLAs to remain calm, but they continued to disrupt the Lt Governor’s speech. As a result, the Speaker suspended the MLAs for a day.
After the suspension, the MLAs, while giving a presentation in the Assembly, made a strong allegation that the BJP had disrespected B.R. Ambedkar by removing his photo from the Chief Minister’s office.
“The BJP has shown its true colours by removing Babasaheb Ambedkar’s photograph. Does the party believe that (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi can take Babasaheb’s place?” Atsithi told reporters.
“We will continue the protest until Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s photograph is installed,” the opposition leader said.
