But it is surprising why the administration does not give priority to work like dam construction in the district. The Panchayat Samiti meeting was held at the Paikmal Block Hall of Bargarh district under the presidency of Block Chairperson Bhavana Singh on Tuesday.
The Panchayat Samiti meeting discussed agriculture, natural disasters, drinking water, electricity, health, horticulture, irrigation, livestock, education, integrated child development, housing, Prime Minister’s residence, Rural Development, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, excise, Odisha Mission Shakti, social security, Scheduled Castes and Tribes, fish resources etc. During the important discussions in the Panchayat Samiti meeting, the public representatives expressed their concern over the absence of government employees from many departments such as Revenue, Forest, Excise, PWD, MI, Animal Husbandry, Health, Fire, etc.
Action was demanded against the absent officials. All the public representatives present reacted strongly to the arbitrary power cuts and high electricity bills of the Electricity Department. Since the uninterrupted power supply and some of the village panchayats of the block are under the jurisdiction of the Padmapur Electricity Department, they will now report the problem to whom, so the Electricity Department has also called the Padmapur officer before going, so now we will report the problem to whom, demanded Sarpanch Dilip Behera. Along with this, demands were also made on 5 works in the middle of Mandosil High School.
Since then, the construction of low-quality water tanks worth crores of rupees for drinking water in the Paikmal area has been going on, and people are not getting proper drinking water. All the public representatives expressed their concerns about the water supply department. Along with this, the public representatives presented their demands in the meeting regarding many problems of their areas. In this meeting, BDO Prafulla Kumar Adu moderated the meeting, while Bargarh MP Nominee Kailash Dishri, MLA Barsa Singh Bariha, Vice President Sanjeev Bariha, all the Gram Panchayat Samiti members and Sarpanchs, government employees were present.
