
Tigiria -: The 3rd Raja Festival Celebration was successfully organized by Ishaneshwar Youth Club, formed by the local youth of Gopinathpur Shasan village under Nijigarh Panchayat in Tigiria block. The event was conducted under the leadership of Club President Satyasundar Mishra and coordination of Treasurer Girish Nayak. The chief guest for the occasion was Abhaya Kumar Barik, BJP leader from the Athagarh-Tigiria constituency. Surya Kanta Dhal, representative of the Member of Parliament, attended as a special guest, while social worker Pradyumna Das joined as the keynote speaker.
Among the honored guests were Club Secretary Narayan Prasad Das, respected village elder Shyamsundar Mishra, journalist Chandrashekhar Mishra, and Raghunath Raut, senior clerk at Kalinga Women’s Higher Secondary School in the locality. The event featured dance and singing competitions, judged by Subrat Mohanty and Anamika Das, instructors from the renowned Nrutyanjali Dance Academy of Athagarh subdivision.
The event began with a warm welcome and felicitation to all guests by the organizing committee. Club Secretary Mr. Das presented the annual report of the club. In their speeches, Chief Guest Mr. Barik and other dignitaries emphasized the importance of such cultural events in introducing the younger generation to Odia traditions and heritage.
Cultural performances followed, with artists from both the block and neighboring areas participating. In the solo dance competition, Juli Behera secured first place, Anamika Priyadarshini came second, and Soni Sahoo stood third. In the group dance segment, MK Dance Group won first prize. In the music category, singer Piyali secured first position. At the end of the event, all winning participants were felicitated and awarded by Chief Guest Mr. Barik along with other dignitaries.
The entire stage program was expertly anchored by the regionally renowned host Alok Ranjan Panda. Members of the Jagannath Junior Cricket Club, Ishaneshwar Youth Club, and local villagers participated and cooperated actively to ensure the event’s success.
