Tigiria -: The leading cultural organization of Nijigada Panchayat under Tigiria Block, Sanskriti Parishad, celebrated the Raja Festival today. A grand program was organized under the leadership of the Parishad’s President, Subodh Pattnayak, in which eminent literary figure and retired administrative officer Duryodhan Baral attended as the Chief Guest.
At the beginning of the event, the Secretary of the organization and educationist Pranab Pattnayak explained the purpose of celebrating this agriculture-based public festival, Raja, and mentioned that the tradition of celebrating Raja in Tigiria Block has been continuing since the 1970s.
Chief Guest Mr. Baral emphasized that celebrating Raja Festival helps in strengthening the bond of brotherhood, which is slowly fading away in village life.

Each of them shared their views on the public festival Raja.
On this occasion, a dance and music competition was also organized for young participants from different parts of the block. At the end, outstanding participants were awarded by the guests.
