
Block administration goes to her home and gives tricycle
Bargarh (Niranjan Tripathy)- : Volunteer Deepa Barik, who has been fighting for the rights and privileges of the helpless, is always in the news. Her work proves to be a boon for the helpless. Deepa has won everyone’s hearts by doing such a great work.
Shashika Kumbar (75), a helpless woman from Halupali village under Bhatli block of Bargarh district, was unable to walk for many years. She was always walking around and facing many problems. She also has no one to take care of her. In such a place, her life has become difficult. In such a place, she needed a tool to move around. Ironically, the local administration did not even pay attention to her.
In such a place, the village volunteer could not bear the suffering of the said helpless woman. Santanu Majhi made a video and contacted Deepa Barik, a volunteer from Paikmal area, known as Twitter Girl. Deepa complained about the incident to the Chief Minister’s Office through Twitter (X) and requested the administration to immediately reach out to the helpless woman and provide her with the necessary tricycle. The Chief Minister’s Office took the incident very seriously and directed the Bhatli Block Administration. Later that day, the block staff went to the helpless woman’s house and collected documents, and within a day of the complaint, the administration reached out to the helpless woman and provided her with a tricycle.
Deepa has been highly praised in the intellectual community as her complaint to help a helpless woman who had been neglected for years resolved her problem.
