Narsinghpur -: While taking a holy dip in Prayagraj, Pradeep Mohanty from Ostanarayanipur village in Narsinghpur came across an idol of Lord Hanuman in the river. Pradeep is a skilled driver by profession. He has visited Prayagraj multiple times during the Kumbh Mela. During his third visit, while bathing in the Sarayu River, he found this idol of Lord Hanuman.
He brought the idol home and worshipped it with great devotion for several months. However, unable to bear the divine influence and spiritual intensity associated with the idol, Pradeep Mohanty became anxious. After discussing with the royal priest, he decided to donate the idol to a temple.
Today, the idol was installed near the Raghunath Temple in his village, Ostanarayanipur. The installation was carried out in the presence of royal priest Shri Rajanikant Rathasharma, with chanting of sacred mantras, rituals, and devotional singing (sankirtan).
All the villagers gathered for the occasion, and the entire village reverberated with the sound of temple bells and Hari Naam (divine chanting), turning the day into a grand and joyful village festival.
