
BARGARH(Journalist Niranjan Tripathy)- : Visually impaired and hearing-impaired students of Bapuji Swatantra Vidyalaya, Bargarh, recently visited IIM Sambalpur under the guidance of Kishore Chandra Sahu, Headmaster of the School for the Hearing Impaired, and Abhaya Kumar Padhan, Headmaster of the School for the Visually Impaired.
A total of 34 students, including 7 visually impaired girls and 27 hearing-impaired students, participated in this exposure visit. They toured various sections of the prestigious institution, such as classrooms, the library, auditorium, sports ground, and campus premises with the assistance of IIM staff. The students gained valuable insights and knowledge from the experience.
During the visit, the students showcased their talents. The visually impaired students captivated everyone by singing melodious songs, while the hearing-impaired students performed traditional Sambalpuri dance, enthralling the audience.
Teachers Dukhisevak Sahu, Sanatan Sahu, Ritu Mahana, Tejaraj Seth, and Ashabati Kumbhar, along with social worker Dibakar Majhi, extended their support to the students throughout the visit. IIM Sambalpur provided meals and made all necessary arrangements for the visiting group.
The school authorities expressed their heartfelt gratitude to IIM Sambalpur for their warm hospitality and support in making this visit a memorable learning experience for the students.
