Kandhamal(Mrutyunjay Digal ) -: There are allegations that old age allowance is being looted in Daringbadi block Daringbadi panchayat of Kandhamal district. Since the corruption has reached the highest level in the name of Ms. Chandraka Mallick, a no-confidence motion was given to the ward member and deputy district magistrate, but the administration has not taken any steps till now, in that context, the farda of corruption has passed again. This is a shameful matter that has come to our notice that the Sarpanch is embezzling
the pension money of the deceased people. Such a Sarpanch Panchayat Officer is being appointed as the Sarpanch. The allowance accounts of the deceased people of Daringbadi chayat were returned by the families of the deceased, while the Sarpanch Ms. Chandraka Mallick kept those accounts at her house on the day of the monthly allowance distribution. Eight ward members have complained that Behera is being asked for allowance money. After the complaint, the block representative of Kalinga 24 News went to some wards and met the families of the deceased and inquired about it. When the family members said that they had returned the allowance accounts to the Sarpanch, the video that is going viral has been recorded.
The video footage shows the Sarpanch himself taking the accounts to Gram Sevak Dushasan Behera and asking why he was giving the deceased’s money. It has been found that the Sarpanch and the Gram Sevak are involved in the matter. When the Sarpanch was asked about this, the Sarpanch said that he did not know. Therefore, a proper investigation is being made into this corruption and strong action is being taken.
